Chanel Meets Bombay

Just this week Chanel had a new fashion show in Grand-Palais, Paris on December 6. The show referred to as "Paris-Bombay" truly was colorful, sparkly, and beautiful. It was Chanel meets Bollywood.
We've all noticed that throughout the recent previous years bollywood has become more and more popular, and the style has become more influential and prominent. Look in your closet and I'm sure you'll find a long flowy skirt for the spring or summer season, large dangly embellished earrings, embellished flats with jewels or sparkles, and much more.
The show was a true Chanel show, elegant, with taste, and of course exceptionally beautiful. The outfits screamed Chanel with that fun and flirty Bollywood flare. True to Chanel form many of the colors stayed in the scheme of white, beige, and black, but you could spot some colors as well along with red and gold!

Chanel for Lady Gaga

This past weekend Lady Gaga arrived for the grand opening of the 'Gaga's Workshop' Holidays Windows at Barneys New York. As Usual Gaga made a grand entrance in her outfit.

Gaga wore a rather large and puffy Chanel dress that was specially designed for her by Karl Lagerfeld. I have to say that I am a huge fan of Chanel for their beautiful dresses and signature classic looks, yet the dress that the singer wore did not exhibit any of these characteristics.
Gaga accessorized the white tweed dress with her over the top bows, and Chanel pearls, along with her daring head piece, trademark dark shades, and the the typical Gaga platforms.

I have to admit that I do love the top of the dress with its elegance and true classic Chanel look. The rest of the outfit was the definition of a Gaga elaborated look. Very over the top and a little over embellished. Overall I have to say I am not a fan of the look.
